SHARPS BEDROOMS, WOLVERHAMPTON

Condition of Floors: Sharps Bedrooms acquired a new storage warehouse earlier in the year. The warehouse had a power floated concrete floor and had been fitted with high storage racking.

Approximately 800 lineal metres of lines were laid over three days.

Facts & Figures
  • Completion date: April 2002
  • Size of floor: 800 lineal metres
Needs
The racking was to receive palletised loads from reach trucks and for the safety of the workforce pedestrian walkways had to be installed.

Instead of having solid gangways installed, Sharps Bedrooms decided to have our Permanent Epoxy line markings laid. The photographs show the finished lines. The line markings have a longevity and appearance far superior to spray painted lines.

Preparation
The concrete had to be lightly keyed to prevent the lines from coming away from the smooth surface finish. We prepared the concrete by using a shotblaster equipped with a reducer to abrade the floor to a width of 4″.
