As a part of their investment in the Flitwick site, Colpac wanted to overhaul the floors. Having painted the floors over the years and been disappointed at the short-term effect, Colpac were looking for a permanent solution to upgrade the presentation of the floors.

Following the success of the initial phase in January, the decision was made to improve another area.

A combination of vacuum contained shotblasting and diamond grinding were used to remove the layers of paint.

The installation was carried out in a tented environment whilst the factory continued to operate. There is no odour from our BREEAM and LEED approved flooring systems which means that we could install the floor whilst the factory continued to operate and avoided downtime.

Our low viscosity moisture resistant solvent free Epoxy Primer.

We applied our Britdura 4000 4 mm Solvent Free Epoxy Floor System in the colour Dusty Grey RAL 7037 for production cells and Charcoal for gangways. Both areas have a fine slip resistant texture.

Each phase had a duration of 4 days.

We retain a small in-house team of full-time employees to install our floors.
