550 sq m of a failed resin floor which had laminated and lifted.
The failed floor was removed over a single weekend and the new floor was installed over five days leading up to the Christmas Shutdown. Preparation included eectric Multi Stripping Machine to lift the floor with dust free shot-blasting was used to remove the existing paint and to clean and provide a good physical key on the concrete. Diamond grinding was used to prepare the edges.
Following investigations and the success of our Trial Patch Condale made the decision to replace the failed resin floor which had been laid by another contractor.
Condale selected Elgood Industrial Flooring’s Britdura 2000 Solvent Free Epoxy Flow Coat (nominal thickness of 2mm) .
The floor has a fine slip resistant texture which does not inhibit sweeping / house keeping. Condale chose our Light Grey.
We anticipated that remedial work would be required and found that a number of defective areas had been overlooked in the past. We excavated these and repaired the areas using an Industrial Strength smoothing screed.
