Vaillant had used Elgood Industrial Flooring over 10 years ago to coat their concrete floors.
We entered the tendering process and won the contract die to our unique product and emphasis on obtaining the best value for Vaillant who selected our Britdura 1000 Anti Static Solvent Free Epoxy Floor Coating in the colour Slate Grey.
Floor thickness of approximately 1mm applied by scratch trowel and roller with a built in fine slip resistant finish ideal for use with scrubber dryer machines.
The anti-staic floor was laid to meet BS EN 61340-5-1; 2007.

Flooring selected: Elgood Industrial Flooring’s Britdura 1000 A/S Solvent Free Epoxy Floor Coating in the colour Slate Grey. Additional colours included Traffic Blue and Yellow. The coating has a fine slip resistant finish for safety and appearance.

We have always been able to confidently over lay our existing floorings thereby minimizing waste.
We reuse our packaging and use only solvent free Epoxy resin.

Needs
As part of an investment programme in a New Production Line, Vaillant required a floor with ESD properties.
Preparation
The floor was aggressively scrub cleaned to reduce the silicone contamination. The floor was sealed with our low viscosity primer. This provided a clean silicone free base coat.

BRITDURA ESD FLOORING conforms to the above specification.
Each installation is carried out by Elgood Industrial Flooring Ltd and includes the necessary copper earthing strip laid within the flooring and taken to one or more earth points as required by the client.

5.3.2 Personnel grounding All personnel shall be grounded or equipotentially bonded according to the requirements below when handling ESDS. When personnel are seated at ESD protective workstations, they shall be connected to ground via a wrist strap system. For standing operations, personnel can be grounded via a wrist strap system or by a flooring foot wear system. When a flooring-footwear system is used, either of the two following conditions shall be met: – the total resistance of the system (from the person, through the footwear and flooring to equipment ground) shall be less than 3,5 X107 Ω;
