Having refurbished the floors in their existing facility over a number of years, for their new 8,000 sq m Hub for high tech engineering start ups, Horizon decided to have our clear solvent free Epoxy seal applied to protect the new floor.
We were pleased to continue our association with the Horizon Technology Group of companies which include the pioneers Polar Technology, SSTT, and Lentus Composites.
The aim was to provide a hard wearing seal preventing the generation of dust, to ease cleaning and minimise disruption at a later date when floor layouts are known.
The installation was carried out in three phases each of 5 days working in conjunction with the Main Contractor EG Carter.
The seal had a special blend of aggregates mixed in to provide a fine slip resistant finish.
The seal was applied by trowel to ensure an even distribution of resin and finished by roller to achieve a consistent texture.
