Sunray Doors part of Assa Abloy

Facts & Figures
  • Title: Sunray Doors part of Assa Abloy
  • Location: Ashford, Kent
  • Completion date: April 2025
  • Area: 330 sq m
Background
Our original floors needed a refurbishment after 20 + years of hard industrial use.

The floors are a key component of upgrades across the Sunray sites.

Given the success of our floor coatings over the years, we were invited to submit our proposal.

Being part of the ASSA ABLOY group, Sunray had to adopt the standardized colours.

Manufactured by Elgood Industrial Flooring
We continue to manufacture and supply our own range of Epoxy flooring.
Industrial Floor Preparation
The granolithic concrete and our old flooring were prepared using HEPA vacuum contained diamond grinding machines.
Industrial Flooring Specification
Our Britdura 2000 solvent free 2mm Epoxy System in the colours 5017 Blue, 7040 Grey and Yellow 1018. The colours are Assa Abloy’s standardized scheme and not from our stock range. We were pleased to make the flooring to meet Assa Abloy’s criteria.

The system includes a built-in fine slip resistant texture. In addition to lending purchase, the light profile reflects light without the glare of a smooth gloss finish which highlights every undulation in the slab.

Industrial Floor Layout
To differentiate areas, Blue 5017 was used to highlight gangways and Grey 7040 was used for production cells.
