300 square metres of magnesite flooring removed and renovated. Knowing that Magnesite could sometimes contain Asbestos, the floor was tested for Asbestos and was found to be free of it.
A single phase of six days ready for the arrival of the new machinery. The removal, preparation and installation were project managed entirely by Elgood to ensure that the critical deadline for the arrival of the new machines was met.
When the Magnesite had been removed the old concrete required remedial work and resurfacing to provide a floor strong enough to withstand the new machines and the vibration that these generate.
Milling to remove the magnesite with breakers to attend to edges.
Vacuum contained shotblasting and diamond grinding to prepare the concrete.
We laid Ardex K80 High Strength Industrial Smoothing Screed to approx 13 mm.
This was sealed with our Britdura 750 Highbuild Solvent Free Epoxy Floor Coating in Terracotta.
