Completion date:August 2007 Size of floorApproximately 600 square metres. Installation ProgrammeTwo phases each with a duration of three days. The installation had to be completed with minimum disruption to ongoing services during the height of the holiday season. Condition Of FloorThe concrete floor was heavily soiled and had a rough tamped finish. Servisair's requirementsThe wide expansion joints had recessed and had become a hazard to the jacks which are used to lift vehicles of up to 40 tonnes. The profile of the tamped surface made free movment difficult and inhibited cleaning. PreparationDust free shotblasting was used to remove the layers of paint and soiling. Diamond Grinding was used to alleviate the worst of the profile on the surface. The specified flooringThe Britdura 2000 Solvent Free Epoxy Flow Coat which was laid to an average thickness of 2.5 - 3 mm. Joints that were in a poor condition were removed and replaced. All other joints were filled and smoothed over using our Britdura Semi Rigid Epoxy resin. The floor was laid in the colour Slate Grey with various yellow line markings. The coating has a fine slip resistant finish and can be cleaned with ease using scrubber/dryer machines. |
