Condition of Floors

A combination of a worn concrete and polmer screed.

Installation Programme

A dual phase installation carried out over weekends with work commencing on a Friday and completing on the Sunday leaving the floor operational for the Monday.

Leo Selected

Leo Pharmaceuticals selected our Britdura 750 High Build Epoxy Floor Coating to provide a hard wearing and sealed working surface.

Leo Required

A new floor coating to replace the existing coating that was generating dust and wearing away under fork lift and trolley traffic. This was aggravating the dust contamination within the warehouse. The priorities were to provide a coating that would not dust under frequent use and would ease house keeping / cleaning within both the Picking and Warehouse area.

The plinths and existing skirting were painted in the chosen colour with the aim being to give a tidy finish to the floor.

Preparation

Medium shotblasting was used to provide a physical key for the floor coating. An upright diamond grinding machine was used to prepare the floor at wall edges and where access under racking was limited to a height of 1 metre.

The Chosen Floor

The Britdura 750 solvent free Epoxy floor coating was manufactured and installed by Elgood Industrial Flooring Ltd. The overall finish had a fine slip resistant texture.

Leo selected our Sky Blue colour to lend a pleasing and clean appearance.
