Condition of Floor

Power floated concrete with signs of general wear.

Installation Programme

A two day installation was required during normal working hours. This being the case, minimal disruption to operations was essential.

Avica Required

A cost effective Epoxy floor coating to improve the appearance of the floor and lift the overall presentation of the production area.

Avica chose a specific BS colour from outside of the stock colour range for no extra cost.

Additionally, remedial work was carried out on surface defects and untidy joints.

Preparation

Shotblasting was used to provide a physical key for the floor coating.

The Chosen Floor

The Britdura 500 solvent free Epoxy floor coating was manufactured and installed by Elgood Industrial Flooring Ltd.

The photographs demonstrate how the floor was applied by trowel, the slip resistant finish and the overall appearance of the floor.
