The concrete varied between areas from having a worn to having a smooth surface.

PPC's requirements

A cost effective hard wearing and practical floor coating that could be cleaned repeatedly with ease. To retain the existing floor layout.

Preparation

Dust free shotblasting was used to remove the layers of paint provide and a clean surface.

The specified flooring

The Britdura 750 Highbuild Solvent Free Epoxy Floor Coating which is applied by trowel with a finished thickness of approximately 1 millimetre.

Remedial work was carried out to isolated rough patches using a combination of diamond grinding and our Epoxy smoothing mortar.

The coating was laid in the colours Light Grey and Cherry Red.

The Uprights / Skirtings were painted using our Waterbased Floor Paint to match the colours used in the layout of the floor.

The coating has a fine slip resistant finish and can be cleaned with ease using scrubber/dryer machines.
