Condition of Floors

In a satisfactory condition apart from some areas of damage. The studio measured approximately 650 sq m.

Installation Programme

The work was carried out in normal working hours whilst broadcasting continued in adjacent studios.

BBC Selected

The Elgood Television Studio Floor Top System.

BBC Required

A level high performance television studio floor to meet their exacting camera tracking specification.

Preparation

Mechanical removal of the operating surface. The sub floor was then reinforced and the operating surface was renewed.

The Chosen Floor

The Television floor was laid in the colour TV Grey with a static disspative finish incorporated into the finish. Numerals were applied and a reference grid was engraved into the surface.
